From Disability to Possibility
Every child deserves a healthy, rightful and fulfilling place in the world. Kids with disabilities are no different than other children. Through Bloorview Kids Foundation and its support for Bloorview Kids Rehab, we are helping to create a world of possibilities for kids with disabilities. Bloorview Kids Foundation raises funds to empower children with disabilities and their families.
Kids with disabilities don’t necessarily “get better,” they have long-term needs, which can change as they grow into adults. Families raising children with special needs are also affected. Bloorview Kids Rehab is committed to the health of the family as a whole, and defines health more broadly than in a traditional medical model. Bloorview focuses on wellness, including physical, emotional and mental health.
Bloorview provides a wide range of programs, services, research projects and training programs thanks to the generous support of community donors.
Community support through the annual Bike for Tykes event allows Bloorview Kids Rehab to maintain a global standard of excellence in inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
